New Interview w/ @GetYourBuzzUp Madison WI Winner @Esweez

Hey E Sweez, whats going on?

Just keeping in pushin my dude, what’s poppin’.

What’s the hip hop climate in Madison Wisconsin?

It’s ill man. I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see the shit we got popping of in the city right now. A lot of talent out here, and we all support each other. You couldn’t ask for a better musical environment.

Who are your musical influences?

Man, there’s really too many to name. I grew up on a mix of all types of artists. Trick Daddy, Soulja Slim, Jada, 50, Jay-Z, Raekwon, the list goes on. Outside of hip-hop, I’ve been heavily influenced by artists like Bob Marley, Bill Withers, and Sade. Those 3 have create some amazing music that has definitely played a part in my development as an artist.

What was your reaction to winning the Get Your Buzz Up Event?

When they announced my name, I was speechless. It didn’t really hit me at first. People were in my ear like, “you have know idea what is about to happen, everything is about to change.” We put up our rent money to get in the showcase, so I was always confident in winning, but I’m sure everyone else was too. Winning it was a really big deal and the city has really got behind me on it.

What are some of the prizes that came with winning?

I got thousands of dollars worth of clothes from theworldisugly.com, numerous pro accounts for distribution, a distribution deal with digiwaxx, a photoshoot, HD video, my single is being blasted to 61,000 DJ’s, a beat from illmind, one of the dopest producers in the game, I’m going out to Ohio and New York, and most importantly I’ve been given the opportunity to sit down with some major labels.

How are you going to utilize this win to get your buzz up?

Just by taking full advantage of all these opportunities. I want to create as many relationships as I can, and just keep moving forward. We have some videos and other things in the works, so only time will tell.

What current projects are you working on?

We just released “The Groundhog Day LP,” which is available for free download on DatPiff.com. We will also be releasing another LP, which will be followed by the debut album, “Life is Precious.” Both of these projects are already finished, we are just waiting for the right time to release each one. The album should be out in the first half of 2011.

What’s up next?

Just keep doing shows. I want to be on stage as much as I possibly can. There is no place where I feel more at home then on stage. I know I was born to do this.

Where can we see you online?
